Rossella Paolini

Painter from 1987, i have organized and participated in many individual and collective exhibitions on the theme of the imaginary.

I have attended the art school of Trieste “E. e U. Nordio” and a dress designer professional school;

from 1987 to 1999 i have participated to various private courses of oil painting, acrylic, aerograph and water color.

Between 2010 and 2011 i have attended to many courses of illustration for children at the Sarmede international school; from 2012 to 2014 I have attended to the comic academy of Trieste.

 

In 2012 my paintings have been selected to these 3 illustration for children international competitions:

 

-12th international illustration competition Accademia Pictor of Torino “Mignolina” of C.H.Andresen, exhibition in the Torino Comics

 

-Illustration competition of the 30th Festival de Rouen du livre de jeunesse “La renard, d'hier a demain” in Normandy, with traveling exhibition in France

 

-5th international illustration competition Diritti a Colori “We are the future” including the publication of a book by the Fondazione Malagutti Onlus, edited by Red Publishing; traveling exhibition started at Palazzo Tè of Mantova

 

In 2013 i have been selected at the 31th illustration for children international exhibition “Le immagini della fantasia” in Sarmede (TV) in the section of the fairy tales from Mexico.

Also during 2013 i have been selected at the illustration competition of the 31th Festival de Rouen du livre de jeunesse “Voyager léger”, with a traveling exhibition in France.

 

I have illustrated the month of march 2014 for the Tolkien calendar of the italian Tolkien Society.

 

In 2014 the Museum of Tarot cards of Riola (Bologna) selected my illustration "The High Priestess" for its permanent exhibition.

- In May I held a solo exhibition of painting and illustration entitled "Dolls" in the art gallery of Hotel Vis à Vis in Trieste.

- I've been selected  at 14 th international illustration competition Accademia Pictor of Torino “La masca del ponte nero, una storia di streghe" and at the Illustration competition of the 32th Festival de Rouen du livre de jeunesse “Le nouveaux  dieux” in Normandy, with traveling exhibition in France.

 

In 2015 I've been  selected at the first illustration competition"Para Todos Todo"  Caffè Tatawelo - Boves - Cuneo;

- At the competition "Une Planète à crédit"  33rd Festival de Rouen du livre de jeunesse in Normandy;

- At the competition Illustramente "Nicuzza, la magia dell'amore" in the 4th edition of  Illustration for children Festival - Palermo

- At the 2nd competition Immagini per sognare "Tavola apparecchiati!" - La Bottega del Cigno - Noventa Padovana (PD)

In 2016 I’m one of the 10 finalist of “Bando Educa” of the “Associazione AI – Autori di Immagini” Rovereto (TN)

- I've been selected at Premio Accademico Internazionale di poesia e arte contemporanea Apollo dionisiaco-Roma 2016

- I won the first prize of “Casa della Fantasia – Frutti della Terra” of the “Fondazione Achille Marazza” and published the illustrated book “Anajè e l’armonia della foresta”.

- I’ve been selected at the 3rd international competition Immagini per sognare "Casa Dolce Casa" - La Bottega del Cigno - Noventa Padovana (PD)

- I held a solo exhibition of painting "Goddesses" in the art gallery of  Hotel Vis à Vis - Duchi D'aosta in Trieste.

In 2017 I received an honorable mention at the 15th Concorso Internazionale dell’Accademia Pictor e dell’Edizioni Gruppo Abele of Torino.

In 2018 I’ve been selected with "Biancaneve" at the Biennale d'Arte "Metropoli di Torino 2018" at the Concorso Internazionale di Pittura "Arte città amica", with exhibition at Palazzo Birago in Torino.

- With my artwork "Ariel" I won a "acknowledgment of Special Merit of the Jury" participating

at the Premio Accademico Internazionale di Poesia e Arte Contemporanea "Apollo Dionisiaco" 5° edition, with exhibition at Castello della Castelluccia in Roma.

- I won the third price  at NAV's Art for Animals Contest 2018 of the National Anti-Vivisection Society of Chicago, with my illustration "I love them".

- I held a solo exhibition of painting and illustration "Fabulosa" in the art gallery Argondia of New Age Center in Trieste.

In 2019 I won 3rd place in the professional paintings category at the exhibition "the four elements of nature" whit my work Elementali at the ninth edition of the Image Festival in Martina Franca Italy.

- Selected whit catalog at the 1st Edition on the Walk of Faith Competition, from Rossano Calabro to Tuscolo, view of the journey of San Nilo.

- My work Elementali was chosen to represen my art in the NUMERO 0 magazine dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci and contemporary artists.

- In december 2019, I was part of the Star Wars Group Art Show "The Last Saga" at La Bodega Gallery in San Diego California.

In 2020 I was among the artists of the Atlas of Contemporary Art published by De Agostini, I was selected with a catalog at the Festival Dell'Immagine 10 Edition of Martina Franca (TA) in the Painting section. I have participated in themed group exhibitions in the following galleries: Penumbra Art Gallery in Portugal and Artwhirl Gallery in New York. My art has been represented in the American art magazine Candy floss "the enchanted issue" and in the English magazine Zanna Magazine Issue Seven .
